Representing multiple styles of art, Lichtenstein challenges himself in this piece as he takes on multiple forms of abstraction without an appropriated image to hide behind. Created in predominately black and white tones, there are subtle uses of blue, green, and yellow which pop out making the composition feel a little livelier. When that is mixed with the variations in dots, squares, line work, and strokes, the image really feels like a Lichtenstein giving a rather intimate look into his processes when the art is his own creation.
