Brilliantly rich swirls of undulating yellows and oranges come together to create a vibrant still life and portrait by Fernand Léger. A series of waved lines, interlocking circles, and odd shapes are highlighted and contrasted against alternating shades of black and white. Created in 1954, this color screenprint was included in an album of 10 serigraphs is hand-signed by Fernand Léger (Argentan, 1881- Gif-sur-Yvette, 1955) in ink in the lower right margin; also signed 'FL' in the stone in black. This work is numbered from the edition of 200 in pencil in the lower left and signed by the artist in ink in the lower right and was printed by Jean Bruller, marked with his signature 'B' in the upper left and published by La Guilde Internationale de la Gravure, Paris.
