Historical Description

In this captivating composition, thick heavy lines are drawn crossing one and other in black while splashes of primary colors lay over them. A heavy dose of blue envelops the canvas creating for a loud energy and tension in the piece. As blue was known as the artist’s signature embodiment of pain which expressed his physical aliments, this work is intimate and intriguing. Through that personal emotion and the artistry of color, the work takes on a life all its own.
