Roberto Matta oil
Roberto Matta was a pironeering Chilean artist whose visionary paintings expanded the language of Surrealism through dynamic, psychologically charged compositions. Blending abstraction with imaginative spatial environments, Matta created works that remain influential in the development of postwar modern art. In later years, political activism occupied much of his energies, leading to the creation based on the writings of Miguel de Cervantes, Arthur Rimbaud, Alfred Jarry, and William Shakespeare.
