Pablo Picasso Gothic Pitcher with Leaves, 1952

Created in 1952, this Madoura turned pitcher of white earthenware clay with decoration in engobes (blue, black, white) is knife engraved with glaze inside. This piece is from the edition of 100 and is inscribed 'EDITION PICASSO MADOURA' with the 'MADOURA PLEIN FEU' and 'EDITION PICASSO' pottery stamps on the underside.
