Presenting a dazzling use of color, Marc Chagall Le Cercle Rouge (The Red Circle), 1966 offers an enchanting window to a world of vibrancy and adventure. The circus is a favorite subject of Chagall's and every interpretation is more lively and intriguing than the last. Created in 1966, this work was printed by Charles Sorlier. Hand signed by Marc Chagall (Vitebsk, 1887 - Saint-Paul, 1985) in pencil in the lower right and annotated épreuves d'artiste, this work is an artist proof numbered from the edition of twenty-five in Roman numerals in pencil in the lower left margin. There is also an edition of fifty numbered in Arabic numerals.
