Historical Description

Swirling colors of black, green and red seemingly dance on the page in this colorful Miró lithograph. This work was originally created for a Miró exhibition hosted by Gerald Cramer’s gallery. The name “Miró” boldly projects against a richly textured background. The artist and Cramer had a close relationship as Cramer was one of Miró’s main publishers. This work is a testament to a moment in history and to a prolific artistic relationship.

Created in 1969, this color lithograph and screenprint on Rives BFK paper is hand signed by Joan Miró (Barcelona, 1893 - Palma, 1983) in pencil in the lower right.
