This color etching is the product of collaboration between the artist Joan Miró and writer Xavier Domingo. Dating to an especially fruitful period near the end of his life, this work also bears comparison to his contemporary large-scale paintings. In this work, delicate etched lines lead the eye in different directions. The viewer easily imagines the form of an animal with its horns aloft. The luminous orbs of yellow and green are created with aquatint. This technique was beloved by Miró and beautifully contributes to the overall work.
