Historical Description

Displaying a unique view of the Statue of Liberty, Arman Slices of Liberty, 1985, entices the eye to explore its many layers of diverse perspectives in interpretation. An extraordinary work, this sculpture promotes visual intrigue and examination. The two planes of the piece entice the viewer to view the sculpture in the round examining the work from a multitude of angles.
