A geometric figure composed of cubes floats amidst a background of concentric rectangles. Varying from his usual grid-like imagery, Yvaral here focuses on his command of color gradation, as we witness a gradual darkening of a mustard yellow hue from the center to the border that greatly contributes to the overall optical effect of this transcendent work. |

| Historical Description: | |
Created in 1974, this original acrylic on panel is signed by Yvaral (1934 – 2002) in black along the bottom center and on the back of the panel in blue ink: “YVARAL | ‘Structure Transparente K” | 1974 | YVARAL.” Cubes are arranged in the center of the composition to form another, augmented quadrilateral shape similar to a parallelogram. It is portrayed with a stunning honeycomb effect, with a triad of tones of the same color to convey shadow and depth. The highlight of this piece, however, is the radiating mustard yellows that appear almost white in the center and continue outward in a darkening gradient. These varying tones are segmented into increasing rectangular shapes creating an optic momentum so characteristic of Yvaral’s stunning works. Catalogue Raisonné & COA: 1) A Masterworks Certificate of Authenticity will be included with the sale of the work. About the Framing: | |

Biography of Jean Pierre Vasarely Yvaral
Combining the poetry of geometry with figurative art, Yvaral has created a wholly original body of artworks that has received the praise of important critics and museum curators around the world.
Born in France, Yvaral grew up in a complete artistic ambiance. Working alongside his father, Victor Vasarely, he discovered and explored the beauty of geometry in art. The inspiration of the French Impressionists and Pointillists is evident in Yvaral's vibrant paintings. The artist juxtaposes pure colors next to one another to achieve the illusion of three-dimensional forms.
